A man faces impaired charges after an incident that took place earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie Police said in a news release issued today.
Police say they responded to a call on Friday morning around 7:20 a.m. of a possible impaired driver in the area of Wellington Street East and Brock Street.
When they arrived, officers say the accused was found sleeping in the driver's seat of a vehicle with the engine still running. Police determined the accused was impaired, and he failed a roadside drug test.
Police say the accused was also in possession of suspected fentanyl and ammunition.
As a result, Christopher Rowe, 23, was arrested and charged with impaired driving, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 7.
