The Toronto Raptors team members weren't the only ones making impressive shots during this week's game against the Charlotte Hornets.

During the halftime show at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday, Raptors fan Liam Rodrigues headed onto the court to make a half court shot in an attempt to win season tickets.

Rodrigues, dressed in a grey sweater and backwards cap, dribbled the ball twice before surging forward to make the shot.

When the ball passed through the net, the arena erupted in cheers.

Members of the Raptors dance team, the North Side Crew, surrounded Rodriguez in a rowdy celebration.

Rodrigues was then presented with a faux giant ticket reading, "You've won a pair of 2025/2026 Raptors season tickets."

The team shared video of his half court shot to social media on Thursday.

The Toronto Star reported Rodrigues won a layup challenge at STACKT Market last week to score himself two tickets to Wednesday's game.

Rodrigues is the first fan to successfully shoot a half court shot during halftime activation at Scotiabank Arena, the outlet reported.

He wasn't the only one successful that night. The Raptors beat the Hornets 126-96.
