The John Rowswell Hub Trail, of course. And there's just over a week to get your dad joke thinking caps on and participate in the Annual Hub Trail Festival.
SooToday caught up with Quinton, Matthew and Bob Monarch on the Finn Hill leg of the Hub Trail exercising their riddling muscles as they explored the second-last leg of the trails for them, with only the Fort Creek leg left to traverse in search of riddles.
Until Aug. 8, trail users are invited to find the posters with riddles throughout the Hub Trail, write down their answers on a form they can download from the city website and email that completed form to csd@cityssm.on.ca.
If you submit your form with the correct answers to all 20 questions found along the 25 kilometres of the trail, you could win prizes including bike accessories, helmets, gift baskets or certificates, a water bottle, a Yeti Rambler or a CAA basic membership.
"The purpose of the festival is to get people out and moving, to get them exploring different places on the trail," said city manager of recreation and culture, Virginia McLeod.
In the past, the city has celebrated the Hub Trail Festival for one day on July 1, but COVID-19 put that on hold for a few years.
Next year, the plan is to return to the one-day festival, but maybe keep the scavenger hunt aspect of it for a longer duration as well, McLeod said.
"The response has been very good," she added. "Especially with the addition of the riddles."
Those riddles are courtesy of students at Queen Elizabeth Public School and McLeod said they are surprisingly challenging and clever.
