Sault police charged a 54-year-old driver with impaired following a single motor vehicle collision.
On Aug. 7, after 9 a.m., officers arrived on Pine Street responding to the crash where they saw a vehicle off the roadway. When they approached the vehicle, the accused left it and identified themselves.
Police believe the driver was impaired but refused to provide a breath sample.
As a result, Lisa Nichols, 54, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and/or drug
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
Nichols was released on an appearance notice and will appear in court on Sep. 12, police say.
