Sault Ste. Marie Police have arrested someone in connection with an assault that took place earlier this week.
In a news release issued today, police say they attended a call on Monday after the accused went to a residence in the 0-100 block of George Street South and allegedly assaulted a victim.
The accused was located on March 25, and during a subsequent search, police say they found him to be in possession of a licence plate reported stolen on Feb. 8, 2021.
As a result, Jonathon Corbett, 21, was arrested and charged with assault, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on April 26, 2021.
