One person is facing charges after a victim was struck in the head several times during a break and enter early Friday.
Sault Ste. Marie Police were called to the 200 block of Rossmore Road at around 12:30 a.m.
“Although the accused left the residence prior to officers’ arrival, an investigation revealed they had broken into the residence of someone known to them and struck them in the head with a blunt object multiple times,” police said in a news release.
Later that morning, police arrested Daniel Campbell.
The 29-year-old was charged with:
- Assault with Weapon
- Break, Enter Dwelling House – Commit Indictable Offence
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x2
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
