Displays smashed, door of business ripped off during break and enter

The two accused were also found with suspected cocaine, fentanyl, break in tools and stolen items, according to police

On April 24, 2019 officers with the Break and Enter unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43-year-old John ‘David’ Jamieson of no fixed address and 48-year-old Christine Robb of East Street for break and enter.

It’s alleged on April 16, 2019, Ms. Robb called 911 making a false report to police. Following that call, the two accused entered a business in the 100 block of Tancred Street by ripping off the door to the business using a vehicle and chain resulting in approximately $5,600 in damage. Once inside Mr. Jamieson smashed two display cases and stole approximately $430 in merchandise.

The male accused was located a short time later but fled at a high rate of speed then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Police searched the abandoned vehicle and found varying amounts of what is believed to be cocaine and fentanyl, break in tools and stolen items from the break and enter.

Two face multiple charges after break an enter

John 'David' Jamieson is charged with:

  • break and enter
  • mischief over $5,000
  • possession of break in tools
  • disguise with intent
  • fleeing an officer
  • dangerous driving
  • possession of stolen property
  • possession of a controlled substance x2
  • suspended driving x2

He was held for bail court.

Christine Robb is charged with:

  • break and enter
  • mischief over $5,000
  • possession of break in tools
  • disguise with intent
  • public mischief

Ms. Robb is scheduled to appear in court on May 27, 2019. Mr. Jamieson was held for bail court.
