Fire crews respond to overnight blaze on Old Hwy 17 North

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire though the structure had extensive damage

The cause remains undetermined after a mobile residential fire overnight on Old Highway 17 North.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. today, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service crews responded to the fire and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the structure.

Crews were able to contain and put out the fire, which was in the 100 block of Old Highway 17 North.

PUC Services and EMS were also on scene with paramedics called for precautionary reasons. 

There is extensive fire and smoke damage to the structure.
