City police have had a fairly quiet twenty-four hours with only one accident and no break and enters to report. Yesterday morning at 10:40, an accident at the intersection of Blake and Chaplain Streets sent one motorist to hospital.

Yesterday morning at 10:40, an accident at the intersection of Blake and Chaplain Streets sent one motorist to hospital. A vehicle being operated by 72-year-old Mary White was westbound on Chaplain Street when it was struck by a vehicle driven by Bill Kirkpatrick, age 18. Both vehicles received extensive damage. Mrs. White was taken to hospital by ambulance where she was treated for minor injuries and released. White has been charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.
