Male charged for driving with BAC over the legal limit
On February 10, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 27-year-old Tinahse Sibanda of Edmonton, Albert for an impaired driving related offence.
Just before 2 a.m. officers responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision at the corner of Carmen’s Way and Second Line. Upon arrival, officers found the accused trying to get his vehicle out of a snowbank. Officers developed grounds to demand that the accused provide a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device.
The accused provided a sample and registered a fail on that device. Mr. Sibanda was taken into custody and charged with one count of driving with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He is to appear in bail court today.
