Motor Vehicle and Pedestrian Collision

The Traffic Services Unit continues its investigation into the car/pedestrian collision yesterday at the intersection of John and St. George’s Ave. A 2002 Honda CRV was north bound on John St. and turned left onto St. George’s Ave. when it collided with the pedestrian who was crossing St. George’s. The pedestrian, a 64 year old male was transported to Sault Area Hospital by Ambulance with serious injuries.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 37 year old Sault Ste. Marie man will appear in Bail Court today after making threats to his ex-wife.
It is alleged that on the 12 February 2009 he contacted his ex-wife and threatened to kill her.

Break and Enter

City Police are investigating a break and enter to a residence on Hearst St. yesterday.
Entry was gained to the residence and a Dell laptop, an x-box, a Takamine acoustic guitar and a Fender Guitar were taken.
