DOMESTIC ASSAULT CHARGES A Garden River man will appear in court on March 8th after a domestic dispute last night resulted in him being charged with 2 counts of assault.

A Garden River man will appear in court on March 8th after a domestic dispute last night resulted in him being charged with 2 counts of assault. The man is alleged to have been in an argument with a woman when he started pushing her. At this point the woman’s son attempted to intervene and the man struck him on the head as well. Officers attended at the scene and arrested and charged the male.

THEFT CHARGES
A man and a woman were arrested yesterday afternoon after security personnel at Zellers in the Station Mall observed the 2 accused persons load merchandise into Zellers bags and then leave the store. Joanne Taylor, age 46 of Hornepayne and Ross Shaganash, age 52 of 710 Second Line West were both charged in the incident in which they took several hundred dollars in merchandise.

Ms. Taylor will appear in bail court this morning on theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property charges. Mr. Shaganash is scheduled to appear in court on March 8th on a charge of theft under $5000.

ASSAULT CHARGES
A 22 year-old local woman was arrested yesterday morning after it was reported that she had taken money from her mother and assaulted her mother by punching her and pulling out a large clump of her hair.

After officers had arrested Kasey Lynn Krauter for assault and theft under $5000 it was learned that there were outstanding arrest warrants for Miss Krauter. The warrants accuse her of failing to attend court in November of last year and for theft under $5000 from a July 2003 incident. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 8th.

MORE ASSAULT CHARGES
A 22 year-old local man will appear in bail court this morning having been arrested and charged after a domestic dispute that occurred on the 4th of February. The victim in the dispute is alleged to have been confined to a residence where she was grabbed and thrown against walls, had her hair pulled, was spit on, her life was threatened and she was choked with a phone cord. The man is facing charges of assault, 2 counts of assault with a weapon, uttering a death threat, unlawfully in a dwelling, mischief and unlawful confinement.
