Bail court will be a busy place this morning with 9 people scheduled to appear. DRUG BUST Patrol officers arrested 2 out of town men yesterday afternoon on Highway 17 North after a search of their vehicle turned up a large quantity of drugs.

DRUG BUST
Patrol officers arrested 2 out of town men yesterday afternoon on Highway 17 North after a search of their vehicle turned up a large quantity of drugs. Jacques Coulombe age 55 of Edmonton Alberta is charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance (marihuana and cannabis resin) for the purpose of trafficking and 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance (hashish, hash oil & marihuana).

Serge Blanchard, age 51 of Waterloo Quebec, is charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance (marihuana & cannabis resin) for the purpose of trafficking. The vehicle was heading north on Highway 17 when city patrol officers who were assisted by members of the Joint Forces drug unit stopped it.

BEAVER GAS BAR HIT
A foot chase led to the arrest of 2 local men who broke into the Beaver Gas Bar on Wellington Street West. At 1:29 this morning officers responded to an alarm at the gas bar and discovered that someone had broken in. Officers who were assisted by the Police Canine Unit were able to track and arrest 2 men for the break and enter.

Charged with break & enter, possession of stolen property (cigarettes) and possession of house breaking tools is 40 year-old Ronald John Marini of 224 Wallace Terrace. Also charged with break & enter and possession of stolen property (cigarettes and lighters) is 28 year-old John Boyd of no fixed address.

NOT FOLLOWING ORDERS
Myron Jones, age 18 of 161 Chartwell Drive will appear in bail court after being arrested this morning for breaching his recognizance by not residing with his surety and not abiding with his curfew. Mr. Jones was also found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis resin and is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

CRIMINAL HARASSEMENT
A 55 year old was charged with criminal harassment after several incidents that began in mid November of 2003. It is alleged that the man continually contacted and attempted to communicate with the victim from November until yesterday, when he was arrested without incident.

LEARNING ABOUT DODGE THE HARD WAY
Henry Cadreau, age 21 of 28 Hughes Street and Shaun Mearow, age 22 of 2102 Mission Road, Goulais River were arrested last night at 10:50 pm and charged with possession of stolen property over $5000. The 2 men are reported to have been in possession of a stolen Dodge Dakota pick up truck. Mr. Cadreau is also charged with Breach of probation.

MISCHIEF CHARGES
19 year-old Jamie Nadeau of 47 Lewis Road will appear in bail court this morning on charges of Mischief and breach of an undertaking. Mr. Nadeau is accused of breaking the locks off of several storage lockers at the building where he resides. Mr. Nadeau also failed to report his change of address to the police.

Arrest warrants were also executed subsequent to Nadeau’s arrest. The warrants consist of charges of possession of stolen property (a cheque) and uttering a forges document. These charges stem from an incident that occurred on January 9th of this year
