On Wednesday, July 17, an elderly woman was defrauded of a large amount of money. A male suspect, posing as a bank inspector, contacted the victim and instructed her to meet him at the bank, withdraw the funds, and turn the cash over to him.

The suspect explained that his investigation involved an internal theft at the bank by an employee. The suspect knew the victim's band account number and other account details. The thief is described as Caucasian, 50 to 60 years of age, white hair, heavy build, wearing a beige suit coat. If you have information about this crime, please contact City Police at 949-6300
