Three persons to appear in bail court 1) At approx. 10:30 pm yesterday evening city police were called to attend at the top of Pim St. hill regarding a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
Three persons to appear in bail court

1) At approx. 10:30 pm yesterday evening city police were called to attend at the top of Pim St. hill regarding a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival officers observed several young persons flee from the area. One person, a 13 year-old female, who was allegedly walking south on Pim St. in the middle of the road in an intoxicated condition was arrested for causing a disturbance by being drunk. Police also arrested a 16-year-old male that was in the company of the young girl. It is alleged that when the young male first spoke to police he falsely identified himself as another person. The accused, who is on a probation order release, with conditions that he not associate with the young female, breached this condition. Investigation by police resulted in the youth being charged with one count of personation and four counts of breach of probation.
The young female was arrested and charged with one count of causing a disturbance by being intoxicate, one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of an undertaking.
Police were unable to locate the person struck by the motor vehicle.

2) A 34-year-old male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that the accused male continually contacted his ex-girlfriend on her cell phone while on an undertaking with conditions that he not communicate with her.

Male arrested for impaired driving

At approx. 3:00 am on Friday 13th June city police attended at the Cambrian Mall regarding a possible impaired driver. Upon arrival officers spoke to a witness that had seen a male driving a vehicle. The police officers then spoke to the alleged driver of the vehicle. Upon speaking to the male the officers formed the opinion that the accused was impaired by alcohol. The accused was arrested and transported to the station for breathalyzer. Once at the station the accused refused to supply a sample of his breath.
Michael Ernest Shell, age 39, of 88 Pozzebon Cres., is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of refuse to supply breath sample. He will be appearing in court on July 21st.

Two males charged with fraud

1) Yesterday afternoon city police arrested 48-year-old Giuseppe Nicastro, of 556A Goulais Ave Apt #4 and charged him with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of fraud. It is alleged that between November 5th, 2007 and January 28th, 2008 the accused committed the offence of fraud by redirecting monies from point of sales terminals to own account. It is alleged that he redirected 185 debit refund transactions totaling $ 37,612.56. Mr. Nicastro will be appearing in court on July 21st.

2) At approx. 5:00 pm yesterday city police arrested 23 -year-old Jamie-Kyle Hill who resides a 484 Hwy 17 E.
Garden River and charged him with one count of utter a forged document and one count of fraud. It is alleged that on June 6th Mr. Hill forged a prescription to obtain drugs and then attempted to pass the forged document at the Wellington Square Mall IDA Drug Mart. Mr. Hill did not obtain any prescriptions. He will be appearing in court on July 21st.

Two females arrested on theft under charges

At approx. 3:00 pm yesterday afternoon city police attended at the Sears Store in the Station Mall and arrested two females for theft under $ 5,000.00. It is alleged that the two accused attended in the lady’s was at Sears and stole a quantity of under clothing. The two were arrested by store security and turned over to police. Charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000.00 each are:
Sogna Reville, age 43, of 37 Raymond St. and Marie Caicco, age 64, of 37 Raymond St.

Male arrested on theft charges

Yesterday evening city police arrested 28-year-old Nathan Lecompte, of 427 Wellington St. E. Apt # 5 and charged him with two count of theft under $ 5,000.00. It is alleged that on June 5th and again on June 11th the accused attended at the Wal-Mart Store located at 446 Great Northern Rd. and stole electronic items. On the June 5th incident it is alleged that the accused stole an FM transmitter. On June 11th it is alleged that he stole a quantity of PS2 games. Mr. Lecompte will be appearing in court on July 21st.

Break and enters

Break-ins were reported at the following locations:
275 Second Line W. Market Mall IDA Drug Mart. A large quantity of cigarettes was reported taken.
A trailer parked in the 100 block of Church St. - tools were stolen.
An apartment storage room in the 100 block of Cambridge Pl. - A large high definition TV was taken.
Two residences in the 900 block of Lake St. had sheds entered - two bicycles were stolen.
A bicycle was also stolen from a shed in the 100 block of McMeeken St.

Mischief

The following locations reported mischief complaints:
Two residences in the 400 block of Second Ave report damage. One to a greenhouse and the other to lawn ornaments
Vehicles were damaged in the 100 block of Wemyss St, 100 block of Breton Rd. and the 100 block of Macgregor Ave.

Vehicle stolen

A 1997 Ford Escort, station wagon, green in colour was stolen from the 100 block of Letcher St.
