Domestic Related Arrest: A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 24th of September at 11:01 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault.
Domestic Related Arrest:

A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 24th of September at 11:01 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 24th of September the accused assaulted his common law wife at their residence. No injuries were reported. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Four Shoplifting Arrests:

1) 18 year-old Michael Gingras of 2078 Mission Road was arrested on the 24th of September at 5 pm on Cambridge Place and charged with one count of beach of a release document, one count of breach of probation and one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 24th of September at 4:20 pm the accused attended at Food Basics on Trunk Road and stole some meat items and fled the store. Police were called and located the accused a short time later on Cambridge Place and arrested him. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Officers further discovered that the accused had moved and not given police his change of address as condition on an undertaking order. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) 53 year-old Caleb Perrault of 340 Highway 17 East, Garden River, was arrested on the 24th of September at 7:50 pm on St. Mary’s River Drive and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of breach of probation and one count of intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on the 24th of September at approximately 7:45 pm city police received a call regarding an intoxicated male in the area of the boardwalk on St. Mary’s River Drive. Police received further information that the same male had just shoplifted some items at the Zellers Store. Officers located him and found him to be in an intoxicated state. At the time of the incident he was on probation with conditions not to consume any alcohol. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

3) 63 year-old Stanley Tait of #407-615 Bay Street and 36 year-old Melanie Turner of #7-181 James Street were arrested on the 24th of September at 8:20 pm just outside the Station Mall after allegedly shoplifting a number of items from the IDA Pharmacy in the Station Mall. They were apprehended by mall security and held for police. They have both been charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. They are to appear in court on the 26th of October.

Break & Enter

One break and enter was reported yesterday to a garage on Spruce Street. Frozen food and some beer were reported stolen.
