A 24-year-old is facing a charge of child pornography after a lengthy investigation by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
In January of this year, detectives began an investigation into the accused after a report that they had digital child sexual abuse material.
On Feb. 25, a search warrant was executed at the accused's residence and his electronic devices were seized for analysis. Police say the investigation found multiple images and videos meeting the definition of child pornography under the Criminal Code.
On Monday, detectives with the Technological Crime Unit found and arrested the accused.
As a result, Tyler Kehoe has been charged with possession of child pornography.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
