On Apr. 28, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 24-year-old Jeffrey Leclair of no fixed address in relation to an arson complaint.
On Apr. 28, 2017 the accused was in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre. It is alleged that the accused caused damage to cell by lighting a fire on the top of a composite bed in his cell. Staff quickly extinguished the fire and contacted police.
Mr. Leclair has been charged with one count of arson and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in bail court.
