On Monday, police charged a 27-year-old after someone was sprayed in the face with bear spray.
Around 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 18, a 911 caller reported a disturbance at a multi-unit residence building in the 0-100 block of Hynes Street.
“An investigation revealed the accused had assaulted a victim by spraying them in the face with bear spray before running away. The accused and victim are known to one another.
"No physical injuries were reported. A warrant was obtained for their arrest,” police said in a news release.
Officers located Brent Boissoneau-Stone in the area of Beverly Street and Edinburgh Street.
He was arrested and charged with:
- Administer Noxious Thing
- Assault with Weapon
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x2
- Possession of Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order x3
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
