Sault Ste. Marie Police say they've charged a man with robbery after incidents that occurred between Nov. 22 and Dec. 3.
In a release issued today, police allege that the accused entered businesses in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard with a mask on, displayed a knife to an employee, threatened to harm them and demanded money on three different occasions.
Police say each time, the accused took a quantity of cash and left the area.
Officers located the accused in the area of Elizabeth Street and Breton Road at 2:21 p.m. on Dec. 2 and he was arrested.
During another search of the area, police found the accused to be in possession of a pocket knife, a mask, and the exact amount of money taken from a business during a robbery that was reported at 1:14 p.m.
As a result, Tyler Ruzyski, 32, was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime, three counts of disguise with intent and failing to comply. He was held for bail court.
