On Sunday, Sault Police officers charged a 25-year-old man at around 5:30 p.m. after a 911 caller reported someone was threatening people with a broken bottle at a business in the 200 block of Northern Avenue.
When police arrived, the accused walked out of the business while carrying the broken bottle. Police say he refused to drop it and officers found a concealed utility knife when they searched him. He was arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused had threatened three victims who are not known to him. "Officers also learned the accused was wanted by police in Winnipeg, Manitoba,” police said in a news release.
