The following five persons will be appearing in bail court today: 1) A 27-year-old female was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with two counts of breach of probation.
The following five persons will be appearing in bail court today:

1) A 27-year-old female was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused contacted her ex-common-law partner twice over the weekend. At the time of these occurrences the accused was on a probation order prohibiting her from communicating with her ex-partner.

2) On Sunday April 27th at approx. 11:45 am city police arrested 33-year-old Donald Brazil, of 414 Queen St. W. Apt # 4 and charged him with one count of transportation fraud and five counts of breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that on Sat. April 19th the accused breached conditions of his undertaking by failing to notify police of a change in his address and to remain in the District of Temiskaming. It is further alleged that on April 27th the accused once again failed to notify police of a change in his address and to remain in the District of Temiskaming and that the accused failed to pay for a taxi fare.

3) A 33-year-old female was arrested on Friday April 25th and charged with three counts of breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that the accused breach conditions of her release order by communicating with her ex-common-law partner, attending at his address and consuming alcohol.

4) On Saturday April 26th the city police with the assistance of by the O.P.P. arrested a 34-year-old male on outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on March 30th the accused committed one count of assault, two counts of threatening and three counts of breach of recognizance. The original incidents were domestic in nature.

5) A 20-year-old male was arrested on April 26th and charged with one count of break and enter, one count of assault and one count of threatening death. It is alleged that on April 26th the accused broke into the residence of his ex-girlfriend and while there he assaulted her by shoving her. It is also alleged that the accused threatened to kill another female. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.

Resist Arrest

On Saturday April 26th city police arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with resist arrest and breach of the peace. It is alleged that the accused was causing a disturbance at a residence in the west end of the city. The youth was warned to stay away but failed to do so and began yelling and swearing. As a result he was arrested and charged.

Threatening, Harassment & Mischief

A 16-year-old female was arrested on Saturday April 26th and charged with one count of threatening, one count of criminal harassment and one count of mischief. It is alleged that on April 23rd the accused threw a brick at the front door of the victim’s residence and then threatened the victim’s health. It is further alleged that on April 24th the accused continuously called the residence of the victim. The accused will be appearing in court on May 27th at 9:30 am.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Sault Ste Marie Fire Department were called to attend at two fires over the weekend.

1) A fire call to a shed located at the rear of Sault College is being investigated as a suspicious fire. The fire was reported at approx. 4:00 am on Saturday morning. The shed was totally destroyed.

2) A second shed fire was reported in the 100 block of Atwater St. on Sunday evening.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated four reports of break and enter over the weekend.

1) A residence in the 100 block of Ferris Ave was entered - it is unknown what was taken at this time.

2) A garage in the 100 block of Gladstone Ave was entered early Sunday morning. Two males were seen driving away from the scene in a vehicle similar to a black Ford Explorer. Tools were stolen.

3) The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy located at 316 Second Line W. was entered at approx. 1:00 am on Sunday morning. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

4) Kelly’s Parkway located at 323 Second Line W. was broken into at approx. 5:00 am this morning. Unknown what was taken.

City police are investigating two reports of theft over the weekend.

1) A wallet was reported stolen from the Steelback Centre on Friday afternoon.

2) A barbeque was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Hudson St. on Sunday afternoon.
