Update: Third Male Wanted for March 15th Residence Robbery Located and Arrested
On the morning of March 16, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male for robbery, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 15th the accused and two other males forcefully entered a residence in the city’s west end. At the time of the entry the accused is alleged to have used a baseball bat to threaten the victim. The accused and the other males are then alleged to have stolen property from the residence.

The accused was arrested at an address in the 100 block of Wellington St. W. The accused is charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of breach of probation. The victim and accused are known to each other. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

On March 29, a 17 year-old male youth wanted with regards to this incident was located and arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at his residence on the 29th of March at 12:17 am. The accused has been charged with one count of robbery with violence, one count of forcible confinement, one count of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of use firearm or imitation during commission of an offence and one count of disguise with intent. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

The third male youth wanted with regards to this incident was located and arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service on the 3rd of April at 1:37 am at a west end residence when officers responded to a loud party complaint. The 17 year-old male has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of robbery, one count of breach of a release document and one count of breach of probation.

At the time of his arrest, the accused assaulted officers by kicking them and spiting on them. The accused continued to resist arrest and when being booked in at the station, continued with his assaultive behaviour towards the officers. As a result he was further charged with four counts of assault peace officer and one count of resist or obstruct. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Loud Party Complaint Results in Several Arrests
On the 3rd of April at approximately 1:37 am officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a loud party complaint at a west end residence. When officers arrived several of the attendees were outside of the home, and on the street area, yelling and swearing. When they were asked to leave the area and stop causing a disturbance, they would not comply with officers. When officers attempted to arrest them, they continued to swear, obstruct and resisted arrest. One of the youths also kicked one of the officers.

As a result, officers arrested a 17 year-old male youth and charged him with one count of assault peace officer, one count of resist or obstruct peace officer and one count of breach of probation. At the time of the incident the accused was on conditions of probation to keep the peace and be good. The youth is to appear in court on the 10th of May.

Brittany Wiebe, age 21, of 164 East Balfour Street was charged with one count of cause a disturbance and two counts of breach of probation. At the time of the incident the accused was on conditions of probation to keep the peace and be good as well as not to communicate or associate with a person she was found with. She is to appear in court on the 9th of May.

Matthew Parise, age 18, of 71 Ellis Road was charged with one count of cause a disturbance. He is to appear in court on the 9th of May. A 16 year-old male youth that also resisted and obstructed officers, allegedly spat all over the rear of the cruiser and was charged with one count of resist or obstruct peace officer and one count of mischief. He is to appear in court on the 10th of May.

Domestic Related Arrest
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 30 year-old male on the 1st of April at 3:15 pm and charged him with two counts of breach of probation and two counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that officers located the accused on Bay Street in the company of a female he was on conditions not to be with due to past domestic related incidents. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Intoxicated Male Found in Possession of Marijuana
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Dustin Scott of 58 Trout Lake Road on the 3rd of April at 12:35 am on Tancred Street and charged him with one count of intoxicated in a public place and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that officers received a call regarding an intoxicated male in the area of Tancred Street. Officers attended in the area and found the accused intoxicated and in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He is to appear in court on the 9th of May.

Female Charged with Assault
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 42 year-old Kelly Brown of 819 Trunk Road on the 3rd of April at 7:20 am at a local medical facility and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 3rd of April the accused assaulted a staff member while at the facility. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 9th of May.

Shoplifting Arrest
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18 year-old Emily McQuarrie-Matthews of 29 Raymond Street on the 3rd of April at 9:29 pm at Wal-Mart and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 2nd of April she attended at the store and stole a shirt. She is to appear in court on the 9th of May.

Female Charged with Mischief
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 23 year-old Lindsay Roberts of 26 Bar Road Desbarats Ontario on the 1st of April at 8:50 pm at the police station and charged her with one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 29th of March she attended at the residence of a person known to her and smashed the front door window. She is to appear in court on the 11th of May.

Male Arrested for Theft at Local Business
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26 year-old Roland Periard of #1-120 Andrew Street on the 1st of April on Pim Street and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for a theft that occurred at a local business on the 31st of March where the accused entered an office and stole some cash from a staff member’s wallet. At the time of the incident, the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good and at the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of a small amount of hash. He is to appear in court on the 2nd of May.
