The following three persons will be appearing in bail court today: 1. A 35-year-old male was arrested on April 5th at approx. 3:00 pm and charged with five counts of breach of probation.
The following three persons will be appearing in bail court today:

1. A 35-year-old male was arrested on April 5th at approx. 3:00 pm and charged with five counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused, who is on probation with conditions to remain away from his ex-wife’s address, to not communicate with his her and to not consume alcohol breached these conditions.

2. A 26-year-old male was arrested yesterday evening and charged with assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged that at approx. 8:00 pm yesterday evening the accused assaulted his common-law partner by punching her in the face and then refusing to let her leave his vehicle. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.

3. A 60-year-old male was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with four counts of breach of a recognizance and one count of assault police. It is alleged that at approx. 2:20 am on Sunday April 6th the accused was located by city police at the downtown address of his ex-common-law partner. At this time the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions that he not communicate with or attend at the residence of his ex-partner. The accused also failed to notify city police of any change of his address and not to consume alcohol. It is also alleged that when the accused was being arrested he kicked at the officers. The officers were not injured.

Assault

On Friday April 4th at approx. 6:55 pm city police arrested 18-year-old Joseph Fitzgerald of 90 Birch Grove Rd, Heyden and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that while walking on Queen St. E. the accused assaulted another male, known to him, by punching him in the face. The victim did not require medical attention. Mr. Fitzgerald will be appearing in court on May 12TH at 9:00 am.

Impaired Driving

On Saturday April 5th at approx. 11:00 pm city police officers arrested 46-year-old Victor Foster of 1001 Chimney Valley Rd, Williams Lake, British Columbia and charged him with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80mgs. It is alleged that at approx. 11:00 pm on April 5th the accused drove his white
pick-up truck north on Andrew St., from Queen St. W., in an erratic manner. Andrew St. is a one way street - south bound only. Mr. Foster will be appearing in court on May 5th at 9:00 am.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated three break and enters over the weekend.

A residence in the 100 block of Curran Dr. was entered - it is unknown at this time what was taken. A room at the Algonquin Hotel, 864 Queen St. E. was entered and a quantity of prescriptions and small change was stolen. On Saturday April 5th at approx. 9:35 pm city police were dispatched to the Alexander Henry High School regarding an alarm. Upon arrival offers discovered that the school had been broken into. The suspect(s) damage vending machines and doors leading to several offices. It is believed that one of the suspects cut themselves when breaking in. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

City police received two reports of mischief to vehicles over the weekend.

One vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Queen St. E. and the second vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Arden St.

City police report receiving two reports of thefts from the Steelback Centre.

On Saturday April 5th between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm, during men’s league hockey action, unknown persons entered the locker rooms and stole two wallets
