Breach of Probation On Friday August 17th at approx. 7:00 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at a downtown address regarding a dispute.
Breach of Probation

On Friday August 17th at approx. 7:00 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at a downtown address regarding a dispute. Upon investigating the persons involved officers discovered that the female was breaching her probation order by consuming alcohol. Charged with one count of breach of probation is Cora McFadden, age 48, of 483 Wellington St.W. Apt 1.

Assault Charges

On Sunday August 19th at approx. 2:00 am city police officers were called to a downtown address regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers arrested a male and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused pushed and choked his common-law partner. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused, a 32-year-old male will be appearing in court on Sept. 26th at 9:00 am.

Several Charges for Youth

At approx. 12:50 am this morning city police officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Dr. for a driving infraction. Investigations by the officers revealed that the driver, a 16-year-old female and the passenger, a 14-year-old female had both been drinking and had allegedly taken the vehicle without consent. The 16-year-old driver is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of breach of probation. She will be appearing in bail court today. The 14-year-old is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and will be appearing in court on Sept. 25th at 9:30 am

Possession and Probation Breach

At approx. 1:50 am this morning officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for an outstanding warrant. Upon searching the accused officers located a small quantity of cocaine, scales and a scale weight. As a result Dustin Schrik, age 22, of 561 Dundas St. is charged with one count of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of breach of probation. He will be appearing in bail court today at 10:00 am.

Break In

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated one break and enter and one attempted break and enter this past weekend. The break -in occurred at the Country Style Donut trailer located on Industrial Park. A small amount of cash and coin was taken. The attempted entry took place at a garage in the 100 block of Cathcart St.

mischief

City police also investigated two reports of mischief. One report was to the Ste. Croix Church, located on Trunk Rd. regarding broken windows and the second incident was to the Reghold trucking depot located at 987 Great Northern Rd. Several company vehicles were damaged at this location.
