YOUNG OFFENDER CHARGED A young offender was charged with assault and will appear in youth court on March 2nd. The assault involved the accused grabbing and pushing the complainant, who was known to the accused, into a wall.

IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE
A 48 year-old Sault man will appear in court on March 8th to face an impaired driving and over 80mg charge. Patrol officers stopped Michael Wayne O’Hara of 24 Root River Trailer Park at 10:27 Saturday morning on Great Northern Road. O’Hara, who was driving a vehicle south on Great Northern Road when he was stopped by police and arrested after officers observed signs of impairment.

YOUNG OFFENDER CHARGED
A 15 year-old young offender will appear in Bail Court this morning facing 3 charges. The young offender is alleged to have taken jewelry and cash from family members. The young offender is charged with theft under $5000, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.

OUTSTANDING WARRANT DELIVERED
City police officers executed outstanding arrest warrants on 27 year-old Sarah Bower of 484 Shannon Road at 1:00 this morning. Ms. Bower had been charged with Take a Motor Vehicle without consent and failing to appear in court. Her next court date is scheduled for March 8th.

RESISTING ARREST
At 10:15 last night officers attended at Docks Riverfront Restaurant in regards to a male that would not leave. 33 year-old Jason Edward Jones of Garden River resisted arrest when officers attempted to arrest him under the Liquor Licence Act. Mr. Jones will appear in court on March 8th on the Resist Arrest charge.

SATURDAY VEHICLE COLLISIONS
A motor vehicle collision on Wellington Street at Churchill Blvd. on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 resulted in 48 year-old Paula Hooper of 219 Finns Bay Road charged with Improper Right Turn. Ms. Hooper is reported to have turned right out of the Churchill Plaza into the path of a west bound vehicle being driven by Wendy McKenney, age 49, of 123 Florwin Drive. No injuries were reported but there was moderate damage to the McKenney car and light damage to the Hooper vehicle.

A motor vehicle collision on Saturday morning at 11:53 sent 3 people to hospital. A northbound car being driven by Darren Graves, age 35 of Heyden came into contact with a van that pulled out of driveway. The van driver, Elaine Dugas, age 28 of 41 Grandmont Crescent was charged with Fail to yield from a driveway. The impact of the collision resulted in both vehicles receiving severe damage. Mr. Graves and his passenger 35 year-old Jody Hall received minor injuries and Ms. Dugas received minimal injuries. The accident on Great Northern Road by civic # 1156.
