Male arrested for Parole Violation On June 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 47- male for parole violation.
Male arrested for Parole Violation
On June 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 47- male for parole violation. It is alleged that the accused male removed the ankle monitoring bracelet that he was to wear as part of his parole conditions. Frank Caicco, age 47, of 596 Cooper St has arrested for parole violation.

Male arrested for sexual assault
On June 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 72-year-old male for two dated sexual assault. It is alleged that in the fall of 2000 the accused sexually assaulted a three year old child. It is further alleged that in July 2008 the accused sexually assaulted the same child. The accused male is charged with two counts of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault. The accused is to appear in court on August 8th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for failing to appear for identification
On July 1st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 52-year-old female for failing to appear for fingerprints. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear at the city police station on June 21st for the purpose of identification. Leta Hansen, age 52 of 135 Cambridge Pl. Apt # 208 is charged with one count of failing to appear for identification. Ms Hansen is to appear in court on Aug 8th at 900 am.

Male arrested for assault and breach of probation
On June 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 41-year-old male for assault and breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused male got into an argument with a female, not known to him and assaulted the victim by grabbing her and holding onto her arms. The victim did not require medical attention.

It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a probation order release with conditions to keep the peace and be good. Robert Hrynkiw, age 41, of 147 South Market St is charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. Mr. Hrynkiw is to appear in court on Aug. 8th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for assault
On June 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 45-year-old female for assault. It is alleged that the accused person assaulted another female, not known to her, by pushing and shoving her. The victim did not require medical attention. Tracey Pistor, age 45, of 774 Pine St. is charged with one count of assault. Ms. Pistor is to appear in court on Aug. 8th at 9:00 am.

Four Persons to appear in Bail court
On Friday July 1st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old female for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her common-law-partner by punching him in the face. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Saturday July 2nd members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for assault and mischief. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend by biting her and then kicking her. It is further alleged that in May 2011 the accused male damaged a cell phone belonging to the victim. Victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief.

On Sunday July 3rd members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 26-old male for assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused male assaulted his girlfriend by punching and kicking her numerous times. The victim was transported to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment for her injuries. The accused male is charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.

On Saturday July 2nd members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old female for a warrant. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on June 6th. Mandi Klages, age 36, of 95 Goulais Ave is charged with one count of failing to appear for court.

Male arrested for assault causing bodily harm
On Saturday July 2nd members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 41-year-old male for assault and possession of a prohibited weapon. It is alleged that on June 30th the accused male sprayed a male person, known to him, with bear mace. The victim suffered injuries and required medical attention. John Perry, age 41, of 678 Lennox Ave is charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon. Mr. Perry is to appear in court on Aug. 8th at 9:00 am.

Three arrests made for impaired driving
On July 3rd at approximately 3:00 am members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year-old female for driving over the legal limit. It is alleged that person was operating a motor vehicle at the Canada Customs Toll Plaza while under the influence of alcohol. Kristin King, age 32, of 13621 S. Cottage Rd, Barbeau, Michigan is charged with one count of drive over 80 mgs. Ms. King is to appear in court on Aug. 15th at 9:00 am.

On July 3rd at approximately 3:30 am members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male for impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample. It is alleged that the accused was operating his motor vehicle on Great Northern Rd. while under the influence of alcohol. It is further alleged that when the accused was stopped and arrested by the police he refused to provide samples of his breath. Essayas Berhane, age 24, of 4477 Beacon lane, Mississauga, Ontario is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of refusing to provide a breath sample. Mr. Berhane is to appear in court on Aug.15th at 9:00 am.

On July 3rd at approximately 4:30 pm members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 62-year-old male for driving over 80 mgs. It is alleged that the accused male was operating his vehicle, on Trunk Rd, while under the influence of alcohol. William Blundell, age 62 of 217 Lake Hope rd, Blind River is charged with one count of drive over 890 mgs. The accused is to appear in court on Aug. 8th at 9;00 am.

Break and enter
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated five reported break and enters over the weekend.
Entries were reported to the following locations:

Sheds were entered in the 1100 block of North St. and the 300 block of Eastern Ave. – unknown what was taken.

A residence in the 600 block of Sherbourne Ave. – unknown what was taken.

A residence in the 1100 block of Great Northern Rd. – unknown what was taken.

On Friday July 1st at approximately 3:30 pm two males were attempting to steal a television from a residence in the in the 400 block of Morin St. when the homeowner arrived. The suspects fled from the home and were last seen running west on Bloor St. towards Carmen’s Way. The suspects were both wearing dark pants and dark hoodies.
