Nine persons to appear in bail court On Friday March 11th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for breach of probation.
Nine persons to appear in bail court
On Friday March 11th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused person breached conditions of his probation release order by consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. Greg Pearce, age 19, of 539 John St. is charged with two counts of breach of probation.

On Saturday March 12th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused male assaulted his common-law wife by pushing her, pulling her hair and choking her. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Saturday March 12th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old male for assault, threatening death and choking. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend by punching her in the face and bending her wrist. It is further alleged that he threatened to kill her and that he then choked her. The accused is charged with one count of assault, one count of threatening death and one count of overcoming resistance by choking. Victim was transported to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment.

On Saturday March 12th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male for several offences. It is alleged that the accused attended at the residence of his ex-common-law girlfriend and while there he committed the offence of mischief, by punching a hole in the wall. It is further alleged that the accused then assaulted the victim by punching her in the face and then grabbing a kitchen knife and cutting her with the knife. Prior to the accused leaving the residence it is alleged that he stole a bottle of alcohol. At the time of these offences the accused was on a probation order release. The accused is charged with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of theft under $5,000, one count of mischief and two counts of breach of probation. Victim suffered minor injuries.

On Saturday March 12th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused male assaulted his wife by pushing her to the ground. Victim did not suffer any injuries. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Sunday March 13th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 42-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused male assaulted his common-law girlfriend by pushing her to the ground and punching her several times. The accused is charged with one count of assault. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

On Sunday March 13th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 27-year-old male for assault with a weapon. It is alleged that the accused male assaulted his common-law spouse by pulling her hair, choking her and then putting a knife to her throat. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault with a weapon.

On Sunday March 13th, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 48-year-old male for breach of a recognizance release order. It is alleged that the accused male breached two conditions of his recognizance release order by contacting his ex-girlfriend and consuming alcohol. The accused is charged with two counts of breach of a recognizance.

Early this morning, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear in court on December 6, 2010. Nathan Zacharie, age 19, of 215 Turner Ave. is charged with one count of failing to appear for court.

On Saturday March 12th members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old male for mischief. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 12th the accused attended at a residence on Allen’s Side Rd and damaged a vehicle belonging to a person known to him. Ricardo Policicchio, age 21, of 1001 Second Line W., Apt #17 is charged with one count of mischief. Mr. Policicchio is to appear in court on April 18th at 9:00 am.

Mischief
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Wemyss St was damaged.
A window at a residence in the 200 block of Hugill St was damaged.

Theft
A wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Elmwood Ave.

Auto parts were stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Promenade St.

Electronics were stolen from the 200 block of McNabb St.
A lap top was stolen from the old Plummer Hospital site. A male and a female were seen leave the area.
Suspects are described as:
1. Male/ white, 5’10’, unshaven, mid 30’s, wearing jeans and a brown jacket.
2. Female/white, 5’4”, dark hair, petite, wearing a black jacket.
