Arrest Made in February 26th Assault Incident at Dock’s Riverfront Grill
Investigation Services with the Sault Ste. Marie Police have concluded their investigation into a reported assault that occurred in the parking lot of Dock’s Riverfront Grill on the 26th of February between 1:45 am and 2:30 am. As a result of that investigation, Robert Jones, age 41, of Tecumseh Ontario, was arrested on the 18th of March at 10:55 am at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, 580 Second Line East. He has been charged with one count of aggravated assault as a result of the injuries sustained by the male victim. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Sault Ste. Marie on the 4th of April.

Two Persons Arrested for Break and Enter to Queen Street East Office Building
On the 20th of March at approximately 4:00 am officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a report of break and enter to an office building in the 800 block of Queen Street East. As a result of the investigation, two persons were arrested and charged at 4:12 am at their residence.

Shawn Blais, age 34, of Room #308-844 Queen Street East was charged with one count of break and enter, one count of breach of a release document and one count of breach of probation. Carrie-Lynne Boudreau, age 32, also of Room #308-844 Queen Street East was charged with one count of break and enter. Officers recovered numerous office equipment items that the two had allegedly stolen in the break and enter. The accused Carrie-Lynne Boudreau was also arrested on the 19th of March at 1:30 pm for shoplifting at a local grocery store that afternoon. She was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 for this incident. Both are to appear in bail court this morning.

Assault with a weapon
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 24 year-old Cody Cuthbertson of #3-606 Wellington Street East at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre on the 19th of March and charged him with one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on the 19th of March the accused while in custody at the Centre, threw urine at a staff member. The accused is to appear in bail court his morning.

Male Arrested for Assault on Female
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested [charge withdrawn] on the 20th of March at 4:35 pm and charged him with two counts of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on two occasions on the 20th of March, the accused attended at the residence of a female person known to him and assaulted her. At the time of the offences the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be good. He is to attend in court ton the 2nd of May.

Male Arrested for Mischief
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 22 year-old Michael Madill of 12 Gordon Avenue on the 19th of March at 3:52 pm and charged him with one count of mischief and one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 19th of March the accused attended at the Station Mall and was causing a disturbance in one of the businesses by swearing and yelling. When a staff member asked the accused to stop disrupting the patrons, he threw a cup of coffee at the employee. No injuries were reported, but damage was reported to some of the items in the business. The accused is to appear in court on the 2nd of May.

Shoplifter Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25 year-old Ryan Boyer of 61 Gemah Street Garden River Ontario on the 19th of March at 5:20 pm at the police station and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 18th of March at 5:29 pm the accused attended at Wal-Mart and stole some items. He is to appear in court on the 18th of April.

Domestic Related Arrests
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29 year-old male on the 20th of March at 10:05 am at his residence and charged him with one count of aggravated assault and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 18th of March at approximately 1:30 am the accused attended at his ex-girlfriend’s residence and assaulted her. The victim received injuries that required medical attention. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 34 year-old male on the 19th of March at 9:38 pm at his residence and charged him with two counts of criminal harassment. It is alleged that between the 18th and 19th March the accused criminally harassed his ex-girlfriend by sending her numerous text messages, attending at her workplace and going by her home. The accused is to attend in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 27 year-old male at his residence on the 18th of March and charged him with two counts of breach of probation and one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused attended at the residence of his ex-girlfriend and stole her house keys and cell phone. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions that he not attend at the victim’s residence or to communicate with her. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 51 year-old male on the 20th of March at 2:30 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of mischief and one count of breach of probation. It alleged that on the 20th of March the accused got into a domestic argument with his girlfriend while at a local hotel and also caused some damage inside the room. Further, at the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 48 year-old female on the 20th of March at 11:20 am at the police station and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her boyfriend while at a local hotel. The victim received non life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court ton the 4th of May.

A 27 year-old male was arrested on the 20th of March at 2:25 am at an east end residence and charged with two counts of assault police and one count of resist peace officer. It is alleged that officers were called to a domestic disturbance at the residence and when investigating the accused pushed the officers and resisted arrest. No injuries were reported. The accused is to attend in court on the 2nd of May.
