The Sault Ste Marie Police Service responded to 49 calls yesterday. Most were of a minor nature. BREAK & ENTERS The Police Service investigated two break and enters. One was in the300 block of Wellington Street West.

BREAK & ENTERS
The Police Service investigated two break and enters. One was in the300 block of Wellington Street West. At this location a quantity of electronic equipment was taken.

The culprits entered the premises by forcing an apartment door. The second entry was to a business in the 200 block of Second Line W. Entry was gained by breaking a basement window. Nothing was reported taken at this time.


DAMAGED BUS SHELTER
In other incidents, unknown person(s) damaged the bus shelter at Albert Street West and James Street


ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
At approx. 1:50am today, Branden Randall Zack, age 37, of 1488A Hwy 17 East, Garden River, was arrested and charged with an Assault.

It is alleged that he was at the Roadhouse Bar and Grill and assaulted another male person. Mr. Zack will be appearing in court on Monday, April 7th. It is not known if the victim, who suffered minor injuries, knew the accused.


ACCIDENT SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL
On Saturday at approx. 3:15 pm, a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Great Northern Road and Fourth Line resulted in minor injuries to one person.

It is alleged that a vehicle being driven by Arthur Voz was traveling south on Great Northern Road when it failed to stop for the red traffic signal at Fourth Line and struck a vehicle that was being driven by Jennifer Beauchamp , age 24 of Robin Street. She was taken to the General Hospital where she was treated and released. Mr. Arthur Voz, age 75 of 898 Hwy 17 North, was charged with disobeying a red traffic signal.
