Sault Ste. Marie Police have charged one person with being impaired behind the wheel.
At around noon on Tuesday, police were told of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in the 600 block of Northern Avenue.
While speaking with the driver, responding officers suspected that he may have been impaired by alcohol.
Police say multiple breath samples registered above the legal limit.
Gary Falardeau, 55, has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
