Two people are facing additional charges in relation to a police search last week.
Sault Ste. Marie Police have said they found ammunition, a loaded handgun which had its serial number tampered with, an airsoft pistol and brass knuckles during the search of a home in the 200 block of Second Line West on the morning of Wednesday, May 7.
Both 58-year-old Nicholas Pears and 30-year-old Melinda Robinson were charged with several weapons offences.
Now police allege Pears was in violation of prohibition orders and Robinson threatened to harm a police dog.
Pears has been charged with:
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order x 8
Robinson has been charged with:
- Uttering Threats to Damage or Injure Animal
- Firearm – Use While Committing Offence
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused are considered innocent unless proven guilty.
