Sault Police officers charged a 44-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman with drug possession for trafficking and other offences on Wednesday.
"At around 10:45 a.m., detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 0-100 block of Elmwood Avenue. Both accused were located inside the residence and arrested,” police said in a news release.
The search located 225.81 grams of suspected fentanyl, 97.33 grams of suspected cocaine, $2,760 in Canadian currency, drug packaging materials, a digital scale, a cutting agent, and a variety of ammunition.
The total estimated street value of drugs seized is approximately $43,604.50.

- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Possession of Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x2
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
Debbie Kalleo is charged with:
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
Both individuals were held in custody pending bail hearings.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
