Gary Frank Marini has been charged with fraud under $5,000 and assault after it is suspected he switched the price tags for children’s boots from a higher price to a lower priced tag, and then paid the lower price at the checkout.

Gary Frank Marini has been charged with fraud under $5,000 and assault after it is suspected he switched the price tags for children’s boots from a higher price to a lower priced tag, and then paid the lower price at the checkout. It is alleged that he then assaulted store security after he was confronted. There were no injuries sustained by the security officer. Marini was released with a court date of November 23, 2015 to answer to the charges.

City Police have located a male suspect and charged him with mischief under $5,000 and theft under $5,000 after two incidents where he allegedly damaged various articles of his girlfriend’s clothing and stole her cell phone, charger and various keys. He will be appearing before a justice for a bail hearing on the 18th of October 2015 to answer to the charges.

On October 16, 2015 at 4:05 p.m., City Police arrested and charged Tyler Taylor, 24 years, of Wellington St. E. with theft under $5,000, breach of recognizance and breach of probation.  It is alleged that on this date, the accused attended at Canadian Tire and attempted to leave the store without paying for two fishing lures.  Further, it is alleged that earlier in the day he had attended at the LCBO on Great Northern Rd.  Mr. Taylor was on a recognizance with conditions not to attend at Canadian Tire or any LCBO.  As well, he was on a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  Mr. Taylor will be appearing in court on November 23, 2015.

On October 16, 2015 at 9 p.m., City Police arrested and charged a 21-year-old female with assault and forcible confinement in relation to a domestic investigation.  It is alleged that on October 6, 2015, the accused confined her boyfriend to the bedroom and refused to let him leave when he attempted to.  It is further alleged that on October 7, 2015 the accused followed the victim outside the house and bit his shoulder while they were in the driveway area.  The accused will be appearing in court on November 18, 2015.

On October 16, 2015 at 3:15 p.m., City Police arrested and charged a 30-year-old male of Pine St. with assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.  It is alleged that on this date at approximately 3:30 a.m. the accused became involved in an argument with the victim and took what appeared to be a handgun out of a closet and pointed it at the head of the victim. City Police executed a search warrant at the residence of the accused and located an imitation handgun. He will be appearing in WASH court on October 17, 2015.

On October 16, 2015 at 10:50 a.m., City Police arrested and charged a 30-year-old male from Northern Ave. W. with sexual assault, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.  It is alleged that on this date, the accused sexually assaulted a female known to him and then pointed what appeared to be a handgun at another male and told him he was going to hurt him.  City Police executed a search warrant at the residence of the accused and located a pistol-type pellet gun.  Another pistol-type pellet gun was located during a search of the accused’s vehicle.  A quantity of cocaine was found as well during the search of the house.  The male will be appearing in WASH court on October 17, 2015.
