A Sault man was waving a handgun and threatening to kill people in the 700 block of Second Line West on Saturday, police say.

In a press release issued today, Sault Police say officers responded to the call around 1:22 p.m. on May 22, contained the area and arrested the accused.

Police say a subsequent search revealed the accused was in possession of a replica firearm.

As a result, Kaleb Demour, 27, was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and three counts of breach of probation.

He was held for bail court.
