On the morning of August 16, 2015 patrol officers responded to a 911 call at a residence in the west end of the city. Investigation by responding officers resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old male. It is alleged the male had assaulted his common-law spouse during an argument. He will be appearing in bail court August 17, 2015.
A break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Second Line West. Sometime overnight suspects entered the residence by reaching through a broken window and unlocking the door. Electronics, jewelry and cigarettes were reported stolen.
On the afternoon of August 16, 2015 patrol officers responded to a threatening complaint in the north part of the city. As a result of the investigation 20 year old Jacques FORTIER of Old Garden River Rd. was arrested and charged with 2 counts of threatening to cause bodily harm. It is alleged that FORTIER was involved in a verbal argument with persons known to him and made threatening comments to cause harm to them. He will be appearing in court September 21, 2015.
