On the 30th of November at approximately 2:30 am City Police RIDE officers checked a vehicle in the area of Lyons Ave. Upon further investigation, the officers determined that the male driver showed signs of impairment. A roadside was administered resulting in the male registering a fail. Once at the Police Station, a further test on the Intoxilyzer resulted in the male registering twice the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. As a result, 41 year old Arden Laird of Glasgow Ave. was charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol and will be appearing in Provincial Court on January 5th 2015.
23 year old Brandon Grigg of 154 Pim St. was arrested by City Police early this morning after allegedly breaking glass out of a door with a 2x4 at a residence in the 200 block of Tilley Rd. After that incident, the accused was stopped by City Police in a downtown area parking lot operating a vehicle with stolen licence plates in an intoxicated condition. Mr. Grigg was charged with Care or Control while Impaired, over 80 milligrams of alcohol, mischief to property and possession of stolen property. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on January 5th 2015.
A vehicle was entered overnight while parked in a downtown hotel parking lot. 2 laptops were stolen.
