One person is facing multiple charges after a theft from a business Wednesday night.
Sault Ste. Marie Police were called to the business in the 700 block of Bay Street at around 9 p.m.
“An investigation revealed the accused had stolen an item from the business and yelled at and threatened to harm staff members,” police allege in a news release.
Michel Koussaye, 35, is charged with:
- Causing a Disturbance
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x3
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court x2
- Theft – Under $5,000
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Enter Premises When Entry Prohibited (under the Trespass to Property Act)
- Fail to Leave Premises When Directed (under the Trespass to Property Act)
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
