BREACH OF PROBATION A young offender will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested for 5 counts of breach of probation. The young person was on conditions of a probation order to be in their residence at 9 pm and to attend school.

A young offender will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested for 5 counts of breach of probation. The young person was on conditions of a probation order to be in their residence at 9 pm and to attend school.

These incidents began on the 28th of March when the young person did not return home. The following day it is alleged that he did not attend school or return home by 9 pm and did not attend school on the 30th of March and did not attend at their residence by 9 pm.


ASSAULTED AT SCHOOL
2 young offenders were arrested for assault after an incident at a local high school on the 30th of March. The offence took place at approximately 11:30 am when the victim was slapped by one of the accused and had their hair pulled by a second accused person. A court date has not been set, as both accused young offenders have been put into the diversion program at this time.


TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
A motor vehicle collision on Trunk Road yesterday afternoon resulted in severe damage to the 2 vehicles involved. A west bound vehicle being driven by 45-year-old Wesley Penno was waiting to make a left turn when it was struck from behind by a car being driven by 24-year-old Julie Godbout. No injuries were reported. Miss Godbout was charged with following too closely under the highway traffic act.

A collision between 2 eastbound vehicles on Second Line East yesterday left both vehicles with light damage and one driver charged. Both vehicles were travelling east at approximately 6:07 pm on Tuesday night when the car being driven by Robert Donald, age 25, attempted to change lanes and struck a truck being driven by 54 year-old Michael Lamothe. Mr. Donald was charged with change lane-not in safety. No injuries were reported.

At 7:04 pm last night there was a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Elgin and Bay Streets. A 17 year-old driver was charged with red light-fail to stop after proceeding east on Bay Street into the intersection against a red light. The southbound pickup truck being driven by 28 year-old Andrew McCormack was struck by the car in the intersection causing moderate damage to the truck and severe damage to the car. Both drivers received minimal injuries in the accident.


BREAK & ENTERS
A break and enter was reported at 6:10 pm. yesterday to a residence on Sunnydale Avenue. The occupant of the residence observed forced entry when they returned home. It is reported that prescription drugs were the only items missing from the residence.

A break and enter was reported to a residence on Estelle Street at 12:45 this morning. When the occupant returned home he observed forced entry to his house. Reported missing from the residence is a Sony Play station and 2 speakers.
