One Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance This Morning Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 45 year-old male yesterday morning at a west end residence and charged him with one count of assault.
One Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance This Morning
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 45 year-old male yesterday morning at a west end residence and charged him with one count of assault. One count of mischief, one count of overcome resistance-choking and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common law partner, choked her and threatened to kill her during a dispute at their residence during the evening of the 9th of August. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

Two Females Wanted for Frauds Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 44 year-old Mary Gagnon on 108 Albert Street East on the 10th of August at 10:20 am and charged her with two counts of obtain credit by false pretences or fraud, one count of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of utter a forged document.

It is alleged that between the 24th of October 2006 and the 25th of March 2008 the accused used the identity of a person known to her and fraudulently obtained credit from the PUC and Union Gas by uttering a forged documents with the victims name on the paperwork. The accused is to appear in court on the 12th of September.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 40 year-old Tanya Trudeau of 185 White Birch Drive Garden River at 4 pm at the police station after she turned herself in and charged her with one count of fraud and one count of utter a forged document. It is alleged that on the 14th of November 2005 the accused did by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means, defraud Ontario Works of money, the sum of $900 by altering a manual cheque at her bank . The accused is to appear in court on the 12th of September.

Female Shoplifter Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 41 year-old Shelly Lepage of 125 Gore Street (rear) on the 10th of August at 4:20 pm at Canadian Tire and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 10th of August the accused attended at the store and stole a cordless phone. She is to appear in court on the 12th of September.

Female Arrested for Assaulting Neighbour
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 52 year-old Armandine Morissette of 240 Goulais Avenue (upstairs) last night at 9:29 pm at her residence and charged her with one count of assault and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 10th of August the accused got into a verbal argument with her neighbour on Goulais Avenue and punched him in the face. The accused is to appear in court on the 112th of August.

Property Crimes to Follow
• Vehicles were broken into in the downtown area. Wallets and change were reported stolen.
• Two licence plates were stolen from vehicles on Wellington Street East and Allard Street.
• A bike was stolen on Dell Avenue.
• An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence in the 400 block of Albert Street East.
