City Police Reminder

City police would like to remind the public that high snow banks may diminish visibility making other vehicles, pedestrians and children at play difficult to see.
City crews are out attempting to reduce the snow banks within the City. Motorists are reminded to be extra cautious when exiting from driveways and roadways or turning at intersections. Drivers are reminded to properly clear their vehicle windows and drive with headlights on at all times. Use caution when approaching city crews that are working on snow removal.
Pedestrians should use sidewalks that are cleared and should use extra caution when coming out from behind a snow bank, stop first and check to see if it is safe. Pedestrians should not walk on top of the snow banks as they may fall onto the roadway.
Children should also be reminded not to play on or near snow banks.
