SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES A local man turned himself in to detectives of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in regards to a dated sexual assault. In November of 2002 the accused is alleged to have sexually assaulted a person under the age of 14 years.
SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES
A local man turned himself in to detectives of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in regards to a dated sexual assault. In November of 2002 the accused is alleged to have sexually assaulted a person under the age of 14 years.

The man is charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual assault and breach of probation. A court date of March 29th has been set.


ASSAULT CHARGE
28-year-old Darcey Alan Corbiere of Second Line West will appear in court on March 29th after he was arrested and charged last night with assault and threatening to cause death.

Corbiere is alleged to have been at a house on Selby Road where he assaulted another person by pushing him to the ground, holding him there and then threatening to kill him. No injuries were reported in this incident.


CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED
A 29-year-old Toronto man will appear in court on March 29th after he was seen by police operating his vehicle in an erratic manner. It is alleged that the car also went out of control and struck a snow bank on Sault College property. Arthur Adam Piatek is charged with Impaired driving and over 80mg.


IMPAIRED AND DRUG CHARGES LAID
40 year-old Steven Lucier of Willowdale Avenue was charged with impaired driving and over 80 mg after a single motor vehicle accident at approximately 1:30 this morning.

Mr. Lucier allegedly lost control of his vehicle on Queen Street East by Shore Drive causing the vehicle to go into the snow bank. There was a moderate amount of damage to the vehicle as a result of the collision with the snow bank.

Lucier was also found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis resin, believed to be hash oil and a small amount of cannabis (marihuana). Mr. Lucier will appear in court on March 29th.


ACCIDENT SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL
Denny Pick age 25, of 163 Meadow Park Crescent was charged with failing to stop for a red light after a 2-vehicle accident on Wellington Street at Simpson. It is reported that Mr. Pick was driving eastbound on Wellington Street, proceeded through a red light and struck a car being driven by Beulah Carkner of 628 McNabb Street.

Ms. Carkner was driving north on Simpson St. and was proceeding through the intersection at the time of the collision. Both vehicles received a moderate amount of damage and Ms. Carkner was taken to hospital by ambulance with minimal injuries.
