DOMESTIC DISPUTE CHARGES
A domestic dispute that occurred yesterday has a 33 year-old male appearing in bail court this morning. The incident is reported to have started at approximately 6:30 am when the complainant was allegedly grabbed by the throat.

The complainant was assaulted again last night by the accused who grabbed and threatened the complainant. When the complainant was being threatened the accused is alleged to have been holding a knife. The man is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, threatening death and breach of probation.

YOUNG OFFENDER CHARGED
A young offender was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault by detectives from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. The accused was reported to have choked one sibling and banged the head of another sibling off the floor and a wall. The young person is scheduled to appear in court on March 9th.

BREAK & ENTER
A Break and enter was reported to a residence on Wiber Street. The residents were out during the lunch hour to watch an elementary school sporting activity and when they returned home a short time later they found that someone had entered their house. Reported missing from the house is a large amount of cash and prescription pills.

2 FENDER BENDERS
A motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Bloor Street West lead to one traffic charge being laid. George Crack, age 49 of 1-204 Queen Street East was charged with Left turn-Fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision after he attempted to turn from Bloor St. onto Lyons Ave. and was struck by an approaching vehicle.

37-year-old Daron Parniak of Goulais River was the driver of the vehicle that was east bound on Lyons Avenue. Both vehicles received a light amount of damage.

One charge of Turn not in safety was laid against one of two drivers who were both traveling south on Great Northern Road. At 8:48am a city owned vehicle being driven by Anthony Dettore, age 48 of 20 Indiana Drive attempted to make a right turn from the inside lane for south bound traffic into the Staples parking lot when he struck a truck that was also south bound on Great Northern Road.

The second driver was Carmine Biasucci, age 31 of 11 Fields Square who was operating his vehicle in the outside lane when the city truck turned across his path. No injuries were reported. There was no damage to the city vehicle and light damage to the Biasucci truck.
