Domestic Related Arrest: A 27 year-old female was arrested on the 4th of February at 11:01 at the station after turning herself in relation to a domestic dispute. She was charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000.00.

A 27 year-old female was arrested on the 4th of February at 11:01 at the station after turning herself in relation to a domestic dispute. She was charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 2nd of February she attended at her ex-boyfriend’s residence got into a dispute with him, assaulted him, damaged two windows in his residence and broke the window of his jeep. She is to appear in bail court this morning:

Male Charged with Mischief:

29 year-old Peter Miller of #1-414 Queen Street West was arrested on the 4th February at 7:45 on Albert Street West and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00, one count of breach of probation and one count of intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on the 4th of February the accused smashed a picture window at his parent’s residence by throwing a bottle at it. The accused fled on foot when police were called but was quickly located on Albert Street West and apprehended. The accused was found to be intoxicated at the time and was on probation with conditions to be keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Female Charged with Internal Theft:

21 year-old Ashley Preston of 386 Borden Avenue was arrested on the 4th of February at 8:45 pm at the Future Shop and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 in relation to an internal theft at the store. It is alleged that from the 5th of December to the 31st of January during her employment at the store she internally stole $145.00 by merging customer gift card amounts to her own personal gift card. She is to appear in court on the 10th of March.

Female Youth Arrested for Assault at Local High School:

A 16 year-old female was arrested at a local high school yesterday at 1:26 pm and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 4th of February at approximately 12:15 pm the accused assaulted a fellow female student while in the smoking area outside of the school by throwing her to the ground and punching her several times in the face. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 10th of March.

Shoplifters Arrested:

1) 21 year-old Mark Sweet of no fixed address was arrested on the 4th of February at 5:50 pm at Sears in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 4th of February at approximately 5:15 pm the accused attended at the store and stole a bike lock. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court on the 9th of March.

2) 31 year-old Cynthia Assiginack of #11-864 Queen Street East was arrested on the 4th of February at 5:45 pm at the Station Mall and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 4th of February just after 5 pm the accused attended at Kelly’s Groceries in the mall and stole some groceries. She is to appear in court on the 9th of March.

3) 34 year-old Crystal Harvey of #102-441 Queen Street was arrested on the 4th of February at 5:04 pm at the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that she attended at the IDA Drug Mart and stole lip gloss. She was apprehended bys tore security and held for police. She is to appear in court on the 9th of March.

4) 18 year-old Michael Gingras of Mission Road in Goulais River, Ontario was arrested on the 4th of February at 8:05 at a residence of Cambridge Place and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 3rd of February at approximately 8 pm the accused attended at the Holiday Confectionary on Trunk Road and stole a chocolate bar and left the store. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court on the 9th of March.
