The following four persons will be appearing in bail court today: 1. A 17-year-old male was arrested yesterday evening and charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of probation.
The following four persons will be appearing in bail court today:

1. A 17-year-old male was arrested yesterday evening and charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on Dec. 29th 2007 the accused attended at the Quality Inn, at 180 Bay St. broke into a room and stole a flat screen television. At the time of these offences the youth was on conditions to keep the peace and be good. The stolen television was recovered at the accused’s residence.

2. Last night at approx. 7:00 pm city police arrested a 49-year-old male and charged him with two counts of breach of an undertaking and one count of threatening. It is alleged that on Jan 2nd the accused threatened to kill a female person known to him. Upon police arrival at the victim’s west end address they located the male and found him to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. At the time of this offence the accused was on an undertaking release order with conditions to abstain from consuming intoxicating substances and to keep the peace.

3. Yesterday afternoon a 21-year-old male turned himself in to the city police on warrants dating back to 2006. The accused is charged with one count of fail to appear for court, two counts of breach of an undertaking, one count of assault and two counts of threatening. It is alleged that on Nov 15th 2006 the accused failed to appear for court. It is further alleged that the accused, breached the conditions of a court order release document on two occasions during 2006. The accused was originally arrested in April 2006 and charged with one count of assault and two counts of threatening as a result of a domestic situation.

4. A 39-year-old male was arrested and charged yesterday with one count of breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that between December 31st and Jan 2nd the accused sent text messages to his ex- wife. At the time of these offences the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions not to communicate with his ex- wife.

5. A 44-year-old male was arrested last night and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that at approx. 7:00pm on Jan 2nd the accused grabbed his common-law girlfriend by the neck, punched her and then pushed her. Police attended at the downtown residence and arrested the accused. The victim did not require medical attention.

Two Break & Enters

1. Yesterday afternoon city police attended at a residence in the 100 block of Alfred St. regarding a break and enter. The resident advised police that between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm unknown persons had entered her home and stole a quantity of guns and coins. Police are asking the public’s assistance with information on this break and enter. Anyone seeing any suspicious persons in the area is asked to contact the city police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.Let get these guns off the street.

2. Yesterday evening city police were called to attend on Base Line regarding ice huts being entered and items stolen. At this time it is unknown how many huts had been entered or what was taken. The ice huts in question are located near the flake board plant off Base Line and AB McLean Rd.

Theft From Vehicle

City police also received one complaint of a theft from a vehicle that was parked in the 1200 block of
Queen St. E.
