Youth arrested for sexual assault
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 13-year-old male for sexual assault. It is alleged that at approximately 9:15 yesterday morning the accused youth sexually assaulted a female, known to him, by grabbing her breast. The accused is charged with one count of sexual assault.

Male arrested for impaired driving and possession for the purpose of trafficking
Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old male for impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. It is alleged that at approximately 9:00 pm yesterday evening the accused was seen driving his vehicle on Great Northern Rd. in an erratic manner.

Police stopped the vehicle and discovered that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. At this time the accused was arrested for impaired driving and driver over 80 mgs. Subsequent to his arrest officers located a large quantity of anabolic steroids in the vehicle. It is alleged that the accused male had possession of anabolic steroids, with an estimated street value of $18,722, for the purpose of trafficking.

Tyler Matthews, age 29, of 70 Pascal Ave, Dieppe, New Brunswick is charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of drive over 80 mgs and one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Male arrested on several warrants
Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 47-year-old male for several warrants. It is alleged that the accused male failed to appear for court on July 9th, 2009. It is further alleged that the accused person also failed to appear for identification purposes on October 9th, 2007. Further at the time of these offences the accused was on probation. Paul Gibbs, age 47, of 6 Grace St. is charged with one count of failing to appear for court, one count of failing to appear for identification and one count of breach of probation.

Female arrested for warrant
Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 54-year-old female on a warrant for failing to appear for identification. It is alleged that the accused person failed to appear, at the city police station, on June 14th for the purpose of identification. Saphira Levesque, age 54, of 66 Gran St. is charged with one count of failing to appear of identification.

Male arrested for domestic threat
Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 41-year-old male for threatening. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused threatened his common-law wife. The accused is charged with one count of threatening.

Female arrested for failing to appear for identification
Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old female for failing to appear for identification. It is alleged that on June 13th, 2011 the accused failed to appear at the city police station for the purpose of identification. Hannah Harvey, age 21, of 226 Birch St. is charged with one count of failing to appear for identification. Ms Harvey is to appear in court on August 15th at 9:00 am.

Mischief
A residence in the 100 block of Boundary Rd was egged.

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Ontario Ave. was damaged.

Theft
A mirror was stolen off a truck parked in the 200 block of Alexandra St.

Bedding was stolen from a business in the 400 block of Trunk Rd.

Cash was reported stolen from offices in the 300 block of Pim St. and the 700 block of Queen St. E.
