Assault and More A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 20th of March just after midnight at the city police station and charged with one count of assault, one count of forcible confinement and one count of unlawfully in a dwelling house.

A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 20th of March just after midnight at the city police station and charged with one count of assault, one count of forcible confinement and one count of unlawfully in a dwelling house. It is alleged that on the 19th of March at around 8 pm the accused attended at his ex-common law girlfriend’s residence and assaulted her by pushing her into a wall. When the victim attempted to leave the residence he prevented her from doing so. No injuries were reported. He is to appear in court on the 23rd of April.

Breach of Probabation

19 year-old Curtis St. Pierre of 1061 Peoples Road was arrested on the 19th of March at 1:50 pm on Second Line West and charged with one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that city police stopped and checked a vehicle with three male occupants inside on Second Line West near Nixon Road. When officers ran a check on the accused they discovered he was on a probation order with conditions not to associate with one of the male occupants that was in the vehicle. He is to appear in court on the 21st of April.

Three Car Collision

On the 19th of March at 10:30 am city police attended at a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of Wellington Street East and Lake Street that resulted in one 67 year-old female driver being transported to hospital by ambulance for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

It is alleged that a 25 year-old female was operating a Ford vehicle westbound on Wellington Street East, made a stop for the red light at Lake Street and then attempted to turn onto Lake Street and struck a Toyota that was northbound on Lake Street. After impact, the Ford then struck a Chev that was southbound on Lake Street being operated by a 64 year-old female.

The 25 year-old driver, Victoria Orlando, was charged with one count of start from stopped position – not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act.

The 67 year-old female driver of the Toyota was the only driver injured.

Break & Enter

There was one break and enter reported yesterday to a residence on Farewell Terrace that occurred between 1:15 pm and 5:10 pm yesterday. A Fuji camera and some jewellery were reported stole.

One Report of Mischief

One mischief report was taken at the Tim Hortons on Trunk Road yesterday. The display vehicle for the roll up the rim to win contest had a window smashed out sometime between 2 pm on the 18th of March and 7 am on the 19th.
