One to Appear in Bail Court

The only bail court entry this morning is a 17 year-old male youth that was arrested on the 10th of October at 11:12 pm at a east end residence and charged with one count of break, enter and commit and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 10th of October at approximately 6:30 pm the accused broke into a residence on Boundary Road and stole a pack of cigarettes, some cassette tapes, music CD’S, DVD and VHS movies. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Three Charged with Breach

1) 27 year-old Jason Brown of #2-2 Queen Street East was arrested on the 10th of October at 4:45 pm on North Street on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused was checked by city police on North Street at approximately 4:45 pm on the 10th of October at which time officers discovered that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for breach of an undertaking for failing to report to the Sault Ste Marie Police Service on the 10th and 17th of September 2007 as a condition of his undertaking. He is to appear in court on the 19th of November.

2) 27 year-old Troy Boyer of 705 Mackenzie Avenue was arrested on the 10th of October at 4:15 pm on North Street and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 10th of October at approximately 4:10 pm city police stopped a vehicle on North Street and a check of the driver, the accused, revealed him to be bound by conditions of an undertaking to notify any change in address. The address that the accused provided to the officers at the time was a different address from the one in the undertaking release document. The accused is to appear in court on the 19th of November.

3) A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 10th of October at 10:45 pm at an east end residence and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 10th of October at approximately10:00 pm the accused attended at the east end residence of his ex-girlfriend and at the time he was on an undertaking release document not to attend there. He is to appear in court on the 19th of November.

There were three break and enters and one robbery reported:

1) A residence on Devon Road was entered sometime between the 5th and 10th of October. Money was reported stolen.

2) A residence on Foothill Road was entered between 9 am and 3 pm on the 10th of October. Jewellery, a Laptop and some PS2 games were reported stolen.

3) A residence on Lennox Avenue was entered on the 9th of October between 5 and 6 pm. A fridge and a dresser were reported stolen.

Homeowner Assaulted During Break & Enter

On the 10th of October at 11:55 pm a home owner arrived at her residence on Albert Street East just as three persons were exiting by the rear door of the home. The 49 year-old female resident reported that there were two males and one female and that she was punched in the face by one of males as he was leaving. All three ran off northbound towards Tancred Street. The only description that was provided was that all three suspects were in their early 20’s and the female had blonde hair. On checking the residence the victim discovered that her stereo had been stolen. No suspects were located at the time. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention.
