Theft of Vehicle On the 13th of October at 5:45 pm, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year-old Mark Belisle of #406-5100 60th Street in Red Deer Alberta and charged him with one count of theft over $5,000.
Theft of Vehicle
On the 13th of October at 5:45 pm, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year-old Mark Belisle of #406-5100 60th Street in Red Deer Alberta and charged him with one count of theft over $5,000. It is alleged that on the 13th of October at approximately 3:21 am the accused stole a 2008 International 24 foot flat deck truck from the rail and structural bay at Essar Steel. The incident was captured on security video surveillance. Later that evening the vehicle was recovered in a parking lot in the 100 block of Wellington Street West and accused was located in an apartment in that area and subsequently arrested.

Outstanding Warrants
Officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32 year-old Lee-Ann Perrault of 29 Pentagon Boulevard on Queen Street West last evening on an outstanding warrant. She was and charged with one count of breach of a release document for allegedly failing to report to the John Howard Society on the 27th of September as directed.

Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 29 year-old Garrett White last evening on Trunk Road and charged him with one count of fail to appear court and one count of fail to appear for fingerprints.

Sexual Assault
Detectives with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29 year-old male last evening and charged him with one count of sexual assault. It is alleged that on the 23rd of August 2010, the accused sexually assaulted his 16 year-old sister while at a west end residence. The accused is to appear in court on the 15th of November.

Shoplifting
Yesterday morning officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 21 year-old Brent Macaloney of 38 McNabb Street (basement unit) and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000 at Zellers in the Station Mall. It is alleged that the accused attended at the store at approximately 10:35 am and stole four packages of wrestling cards. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to attend in court on the 22nd of November.

Traffic Safety Program Results
Yesterday afternoon officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police conducted seat belt checks on Pine Street as part of an ongoing traffic safety program conducted by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. Officers checked vehicles on Pine Street from approximately 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and issued fifteen tickets to motorists who were not wearing their seatbelts. The fine for not wearing a seatbelt is $200.00 plus court costs.

Thefts
Vehicles were entered in parking lots on Queen Street East and in the Cambrian Mall Parking. Items stolen included four wallets, two purses and two pairs of sunglasses.

Mischief Reports
A residence in the 100 block of Huron Street was broken
A vehicle on Macdonald Avenue was vandalized.
