In the last three days, various magic mushroom shops across the city have been struck by gunfire in seven different incidents, according to police.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said an eighth incident involved a vehicle, which was "driven through the front of a location, with no one inside the vehicle at the time."
No injuries have been reported across all eight occurrences.
TPS said its Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force is currently investigating.
Police did not answer where, or which businesses, have been impacted by the gunfire and vehicle collision.
TorontoToday inquired with police after evidence of gunfire was found by officers in front of at least three businesses — two in the Kensington Market neighbourhood and one in Little Italy — in the last three days.
Early Wednesday morning, officers said a business in the Kensington Avenue and Baldwin Street area was repeatedly shot at, leaving the building damaged. A FunGuyz magic mushroom dispensary is located at the intersection.
Then on Thursday, police said evidence of gunfire was discovered just up the street in front of an unnamed shop near Spadina Avenue and Baldwin Street.
On Friday morning, police again discovered evidence of gunfire outside an unspecified Little Italy businesses near College Street and Dovercourt Road. Officers were called to the area around 4:30 a.m.
A dispensary called Mushroom Trip Magic is located close to the intersection of College and Dovercourt, at 884 College St., though police did not confirm this was the impacted business.
